About
StaticQR is a free QR code toolkit with one rule: static codes only. The content you encode — a URL, WiFi credentials, a contact card — is written directly into the QR pattern. There is no redirect server in the middle, so there is nothing that can expire, be switched off, or start demanding a subscription after you have printed a thousand business cards.
Everything runs 100% in your browser. Generation, bulk ZIPs and scanning are done by JavaScript on your device — there is no account, no upload, and the site keeps working offline once loaded. You can verify every part of that in your browser's developer tools.
Why static-only matters
Many hosted QR services sell dynamic codes: the pattern points at their server, which redirects to your content. That lets them change the destination later — and it lets them turn your printed codes off when a trial or subscription ends. StaticQR takes the other trade on purpose: our codes can never be edited after printing, and in return they can never be held hostage either. The full story is in the guide: Do QR codes expire?

- Bulk QR generator — a list of URLs in, one ZIP of PNGs out.

How it's funded
StaticQR has no subscriptions and no paywalled features, ever. Running it costs almost nothing — it is a static site, and your browser does the work. If traffic ever justifies it, the site may show unobtrusive ads or clearly-labelled affiliate links (see Privacy). The tools themselves stay free and unlimited.
